For example, probation officers can no longer return an offender to jail if they commit a range of offenses such as failing to make restitution payments, pay court costs, associate with people engaged in criminal activity, or leave the county without permission. Instead, the officer must send the offender to an "Alternative Sanctioning Program" which may include just curfew or support group attendance. This bill serves as a proactive attempt to block Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDC) issued by the U.S. Federal Reserve System. The bill prohibits CBDC issued by the federal government from being regulated as money under the Florida Uniform Commercial Code. The Driskell amendment #441279 to the "Heartbeat Protection Act," which prohibits abortions after six weeks in most cases. This amendment eliminates the appropriation of $25 million for the Department of Health to contract "for the management and delivery of pregnancy and parenting support services and wellness services to eligible clients" and replaces it with $12.5 million for "the Department of Health for the purpose of implementing the telehealth minority maternity care pilot program" and $12.5 million for "the Department of Management Services for the purpose of providing fertility services to full-time state employees." Oppose is Moms For America's position as this measure defunds a critical resource to prevent abortion and utilizes the funding for other unnecessary government functions.
